Yoga for Children

Healthy lifestyle is the trend of our time. One has already begun to promote this practice among England’s youngest citizens. Thus, one of London’s kindergartens began to conduct experimental yoga classes for kids.

The experts believe that the lessons will help children to improve their future school performance and to support mental health: the exercise improves concentration and even the four-year-old children’s performance. It is assumed that soon a one-hour yoga lesson will be included into the schedule. Kids will learn to control their breath by meditation.

Teachers are confident such studies cannot bring any harm, but rather help children “find their own place.” In addition, yoga has a very calming effect, which is especially important with hyperactive children.
