Any person, who suffers from osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, muscle pain or joint pain, should pay attention to this issue. First of all, this is due to the fact that the heated environment of the classroom with hot yoga can create a false sense of flexibility. As a result, an untrained person can strain muscles, damage joints, ligaments, and cartilage.
In addition, a consultation is required for those, who suffer from high or low blood pressure and various heart diseases. They should first of all consult a cardiologist. One should not become engaged in “hot yoga” at the age over 40 years, as well as without any experience in Eastern practices.
“Hot Yoga” is aimed at weight loss, removal of toxins, strengthening the body, developing of physical endurance and mental relaxation.

According to the report of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), it is expected that about 70% of the world’s population will live in cities by 2050, exacerbating the problems associated with air pollution, excessive amount of vehicles and waste management. The experts from the organization add that most likely there will be more devastating climate change due to the expected increase in greenhouse gas emissions by 50%, mainly due to the 70% increase in CO2 emissions from energy production. Supposedly around 3.6 million people will die by 2050 because of unfavorable environmental factors. For instance, polluted air of the cities will cause an increasing number of deaths from respiratory diseases.
The OECD report “Prospects for the environment up to 2050: consequences of inaction” also names other adverse environmental factors that humanity will face in coming decades, affecting people’s health and life. Thus, the global demand for water will increase by 55%, and nearly 40% of the population, or 2.3 billion people more than at present, will experience a shortage of water. According to the experts, the north and south of Africa and Southern and Central Asia will especially suffer from lack of water.
By 2050, the demand for electricity will increase by 80%. At the same time, 85% of all energy will be obtained from fossil fuels, which will lead to an increase in the greenhouse gas emissions and deteriorate air quality. It is expected that the main consumers of energy will be the emerging economies of Brazil, Russia, India, Indonesia, China, and South Africa.
The OECD Secretary General Angel Gurria claims that we have already witnessed the collapse of fisheries due to overfishing and are faced with serious shortage of water, which is the reason for the risk to agricultural development. Such substantial changes in the environment can not be separated from each other. They must be managed in the context of global efforts to ensure the availability of food and electricity, as well as poverty reduction.

The first group had to say “I don’t” when refusing delicacies, the second group was supposed to say “I can’t”. And the third one was to simply say “no”. The experiment lasted for 10 days, and after that period it became clear that the women from the first group more often managed to resist the temptation to overeat. The researcher explained that the strategy “I do not” contributed to the growth of self-awareness, control and exercise of autonomy, creating positive change in the long-term behavior of the women participating in the experiment. At the same time, the strategy “I can not” signalled the failure of achieving something greatly desired and caused discomfort.
The conclusion is that the strategy of “I will not” is fairly simple, and what is really important… it works – it does promote weight loss! The results of the study were published in the Consumer Research journal.

These are the results of the new study, which was conducted in England. The researchers analyzed the questionnaires of 11,000 children. First of all, the data about the quality of sleep were collected when the children were 6, 18, 30, 42, 57, and 69 months old, and then the parents were asked to answer some questions about the behavioral factors of their children (at the age of 4 and 7 years).
According to the statistics collected, 45% of the children had no problems with the quality of sleep. 55% of the children demonstrated all the three signs of breathing problems.
After the exclusion of other factors influencing social adjustment, the researchers found that the likelihood of behavioral problems in children with sleep disorders ranged from 40% to 100%. The more the symptoms of respiratory failure manifested themselves, the higher was the risk of such problems as hyperactivity, aggression, unwillingness to follow the rules, anxiety, depression, and difficulties with socialization among peers.
The researchers recommend that more attention should be paid to children’s nighttime recreation, providing all the factors of healthy sleep (mode, ventilation, quiet games). It is extremely important since breathing problems can affect the child’s behavior and disrupt the balance in various body systems in the long term.

The main problem of the products designed for anyone who is on a diet is that they still contain hazardous ingredients. The fact is that manufacturers do not want to make tasteless food, as nobody will buy it. Therefore, cutting the content of some harmful components (fat, sugar), they are forced to add other, no less harmful ingredients. JJ Smith writes about it in his book. Here is just a small part of the answers Dr. Smith gives about the existing dangers.
  • According to him, if the product does not contain fat (it is labeled as “low fat”, “fat-free”), the lean taste is compensated for by the excessive amount of sugar, salt, and artificial additives.
  • Cookies with “no sugar” may contain such ingredients as glucose, fructose, and corn syrup. Ultimately, this is the same sugar that will be converted to fat if not burned. Read the labels carefully!
  • Low-fat yogurt usually contains a large amount of preservatives, and 0% fat is compensated for by artificial flavors. As a result, even the useful probiotics are wasted in yogurt.
  • The concept of “low-calorie product” is also a trap. The product may contain very little sugar, but it may contain three times more harmful fats and may have no vitamins and minerals. And artificial additives will only clog your body and turn into fat.
What is the solution? The nutritionist advises not to develop “the fad of buying” dietary products in supermarkets. A new study has confirmed stray past reports that some women can derive sexual pleasure from physical exercise, and even experience orgasm.
In the past, women exercising their core abdominal muscles have reported experiencing orgasm, a phenomenon informally dubbed "coregasm."
According to the study, non abdominal exercises can also induce sexual pleasure.
"The most common exercises associated with exercise-induced orgasm were abdominal exercises, climbing poles or ropes, biking/spinning and weight lifting," says Debby Herbenick, co-director of the Center for Sexual Health Promotion in IU's School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation.
"These data are interesting because they suggest that orgasm is not necessarily a sexual event, and they may also teach us more about the bodily processes underlying women's experiences of orgasm," Herbenick adds.
The findings are published in a special issue of Sexual and Relationship Therapy, a leading peer-reviewed journal in the area of sex therapy and sexual health.
The results are based on online surveys of 124 women who reported experiencing exercise-induced orgasms (EIO) and 246 women who experienced exercise-induced sexual pleasure (EISP). The women ranged in age from 18 to 63. Most were in a relationship or married, and about 69 percent identified themselves as heterosexual.
About 40 percent of women who had experienced EIO and EISP had done so on more than 10 occasions.
Most women reporting EIO said they were not fantasizing sexually or thinking about anyone they were attracted to during their experiences. They also reported feeling some degree of self-consciousness when exercising in public places, with about 20 percent reporting they could not control their experience.
Abdominal exercises using the "captain's chair" were particularly associated with the sexual experience.


The mechanisms behind exercise-induced orgasm and exercise-induced sexual pleasure remain unclear.

Debby says, the study findings may help women who experience EIO/EISP feel more normal about their experiences, but cautions that it is not yet known whether such exercises can improve women's sexual experiences.

"It may be that exercise -- which is already known to have significant benefits to health and well-being -- has the potential to enhance women's sexual lives as well."

The study did not determine how common it is for women to experience exercise-induced orgasm or exercise-induced sexual pleasure.

  • Apply a mild antiseptic to the toes.

If a toe becomes painful, swollen or has a discharge, it is likely infected and needs to be treated by a podiatrist. If the condition resists treatment, the toenail can be removed.
